The taller a tree grows, the easier it is uprooted.
The trunk of a tree operates like a lever between the roots and the leaves…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As wind blows, the trunk begins to bend, putting pressure on the roots.
If the tree is tall and the roots are not deep enough… or if they are weak— rotten, malnourished, compromised by poor care or toxic materials…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The winds of a storm will yank the roots out; take the tree down.
The same is true of humans.
There is so much focus in modern society on having more, doing more, being more.
Constantly.
People are in such a rush to grow tall, they’re missing the opportunity to grow deep roots, foundations, first.
Roots that will withstand whatever storm comes your way.
So many people are willing to invest big in things selling fast, easy, sexy results.
Valuing the beauty of the height without considering the integrity of the depth.
Without considering the growth rate that attunes to ~your~ organic nature & requirements & soul path.
The pace that allows you to tend to your roots… access more nourishment (life force energy) from the soil… grow a deep, strong foundation.
Few see value in investing big in things that bring them deeply into their Self… things that sell deep, expansive, unsexy growth.
Money is a currency of energetic value. How we spend reveals what we value, believe.
I’ve seen this more times than I can count.
Marketing promising fast heights. Healing, money, love, success, etc.
People buying this promise… some toppling under even the early winds of small storms… some withstanding quite a bit of height, creating external success… while energetically burnt out, misaligned, drained of their natural life force and joy…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Perhaps bending just a little bit in each storm… until they eventually topple over…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The toppling is always inevitable without tending to the roots.
I would rather focus on nourishing the roots that will hold me through the storms from the start… trusting they I will fuel me as I inevitably grow taller. Organically. Sustainably. Continuously. Powerfully.
Reaching my greatest heights through every storm.
