A man who has built wealth beyond what most can even imagine… from the literal dirt floor up.

A man I met in this same coffee shop 4 years ago. While I was still working my legal career in New Orleans and opening my mind to the possibilities of writing a new future. We were sitting next to one another and sparked a conversation that led to hours of deep life talk. A conversation and a friendship that changed the course of my life. But that’s a story for another time…

For now, I want to share with you what he shared with me this morning and how it’s landing in my consciousness thus far.

Money doesn’t buy freedom.

You already have the freedom to choose who you want to be, what you want to do, where you want to go in life.

Money buys flexibility.

More choices in HOW you get there.

Often more ease and comfort in the journey. Sometimes less time spent getting there.

You can fly economy or first class. You can drive instead. Walk.

But you choose that you are getting there.

With full certainty and conviction.

And you go.

Don’t let the not having money be an excuse. Or anything else.

Don’t outsource your freedom to external circumstances.

You are free to choose.

You are free to create WITH life. A conscious co-creator. With whatever your background, present circumstances, and anything else may be. There’s always a new future available. A vision calling you forward. At every moment. Through choice and movement towards that choice.

We have to free our mind first. Free our ability to choose.
